Lusid's B Box — End-User Licence Terms

These terms are between you and Lusid Productions LLC ("we"). By installing or using Lusid's B Box ("B Box") you accept them.

  1. Licence. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use B Box on the Windows devices the Microsoft Store allows for your account. B Box is licensed, not sold.
  2. What you may not do. Except as section 3 or the law allows, you may not copy B Box except as part of normal use and backups, sell, rent or lend it, or remove our notices.
  3. Third-party parts. B Box includes software from others, listed at lusidproductions.com/licenses and in B Box's About box. Each part is covered by its own licence, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences. In particular, B Box uses the LAME MP3 encoder (libmp3lame.dll) under the GNU Lesser General Public License. You may modify that library, replace it with your own build, and reverse-engineer B Box only as far as needed to debug such changes. The LAME source and build script are at lusidproductions.com/licenses.
  4. Your music and content. B Box works on files you choose. You're responsible for having the right to rip, copy and burn them. We claim no rights in your music, playlists or designs.
  5. Online services. Some features look things up with third-party services (see our privacy policy). Their terms apply to those look-ups, and we can't promise they'll always be available.
  6. Updates. Updates come through the Microsoft Store. These terms apply to them unless an update comes with new terms.
  7. No warranty. B Box is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Back up your music and your library.
  8. Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid for B Box. We're not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages.
  9. Ending the licence. It ends if you break these terms. Sections 3, 7, 8 and 10 survive.
  10. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
